Lifestyle is the new black

It seems lifestyle is the new black when it comes to career moves for female celebrities. In the past few years, a few have expanded their resume by launching their own lifestyle websites; namely, Gwyneth Paltrow (Goop) and Blake Lively (Preserve).

But the latest addition might surprise you, mainly because in Australia you might not have seen her much since she graduated high school with Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens. That’s right, Ashley Tisdale, best known for High School Musical and her new TBS sitcom Clipped, has just launched her own lifestyle website, The Haute Mess.

First impressions, it’s the life of a a woman in her 20’s neatly packaged in a website and it’s pretty cool! Not only is Ashley just generally gorgeous to look at, but The Haute Mess covers everything from fashion and beauty to health and work. It’s not the kind of lifestyle blog that tells us how perfect our life should be, but how to deal with the beauty that’s our imperfect life.

Tisdale takes on both the role of expert and student in her posts which is both refreshing and occasionally funny! When searching for contributors all she had to do was put the word out on Instagram and in they came. From thousands she managed to narrow it down to 25 and loves that even though she’s the sites co-creator, she’s always learning more from them.

So if you ever find yourself thinking #ImAHauteMess then you’d better get over there, because this is the lifestyle blog you’ve been waiting for.
